Photos of a few of the mares foal here at the ranch!
Congratulations! Mike Lasley and Kathy Miller
brings their National Champion mare "Another Dimensions Dreamgirl" to the ranch for Teasing and breeding. Guess what, when we went to tease Susie two heads are looking out the stall door instead of one!!! "What a little doll!!" Go figure and they were told she wasn't in foal!!! Susie was bred in 07' to DeBruce Ranches, LTD's Masked Illusion and varified NOT in foal at years end. Susie will now be bred to Majestic here at the ranch for 2008'
Congratulations!
Kathleen Albanese of Hesperia, Ca. proud first time owner of a new little palomino filly out of her buckskin mare, "Kaycee". Kathy just happen to be at the ranch when her mare stated foaling she got to see the delivery first hand. Kathy lives about an hour away so visits to the ranch are seldom which made the timing just that much more special for her. Kathy said, "It was a Godsend that i was able to be here to see my Kaycee have her baby!" We just happen to agree with her. :)

(First foal of the year here at the ranch)
Born 9:30 A.M. April 4,2008
It's a filly! :-) Oh happy day! We just love this time of year!
We begin imprinting as soon as the babies born. We never leave a foal until it has stood, nursed and pooped! (S.N.P.) That process usually takes 2 to 3 hours and sometimes much longer! We usually give an enema to the foal helping it clean out and ease it's cramping.
We always stay with the mare until shes dropped the afterbirth. We'll give her a hot brand mash to eat, 1/4 bucket of real warm water, 2 scoops of bran and a hand full of grain mix for taste it help her relax a bit during her contractions until after she passes her afterbirth.
Jeanne and Shawn welcoming Bill and Lindas precious little filly they named, "Alexandrea" into the world and a little imprinting at the same time. Mare and foal doing just fine.
