Norco Hall of Fame

Danny and Jeanne DeBruce 2009' Norco Horse Town Hall of Fame honorees

Jeanne and Danny DeBruce owners of DeBruce Ranch and long time residents of Norco, Ca. (1978')

Jeanne has trained horses for over 34 years. For 15 years she trained American Quarter Horses racing at Los Alamitos , Ca. Also showing Quarters in western pleasure and trail as well as breaking young horses.

We bred over 100 winners for the track as well as breaking and training many Quarter horses for pleasure and show.

Jeanne was a student of professional horse trainer Mr.Charles Eddie for 9+ years. Her trainer rode, trained and bought horses and mules for the U.S. Army while inlisted in the Army during WWl. He also competed for the Army in the Olympics in Dressage and Jumping. (Being one of a very small elite group of men in history to ever train a horse to canter backwards, a true horse technician!) Jeanne incorporated the training techniques she learned from Mr. Eddie to compliment her evolving personal training style that has produced many well rounded Champion horses thru the years. Years later Jeanne bought a molly mule she fell in love with. She bred, trained and sold Mules and Donkeys for several years. Jeanne and her husband Danny have been improving their 2 1/2 acre training facility here in Norco since purchasing it 26 years ago. Jeanne has trained dozens of people, all shapes and sizes to ride, drive, show and to learn to communicate and have a good relationship with their horses. You name a breed and she has probably trained it from Miniatures to Mustangs to the rare Russian sport horse, the Akhaltekes. She's either ridden them, driven them, and shown them in hand. These days she's best known for ablilty to train her Miniatures for the past 16 yrs. or so breeding some of the we think are the finest Miniature horses in the country. Many in halter/ conformation also breeding for movement if they have the ability for an event Jeanne can train it to successed. She's trained Multipule National and Res. National Champions in Halter, Showmanship, Trail, Driving, Liberty. She's  inducted into the Norco Horse Town U.S.A.Hall of Fame for 5 National Champion Titles with her Miniature horses, as well as teaching her top students to become Champions with their horses as well. Jeanne is also being honored for training her then personal pleasure and trail mule as well. Jeanne says, "Mary Ann is one of the finest mules she's ever trained!", winning World Champion Bishop Mule Days Pleasure Mule, as well as, Bishop Mule Days Hall of Fame. Congratulations Jeanne for a lifes work well done!
